Treatment Approaches

Individual therapy is about focusing on the present and seeing how your inner feelings can impact your behaviors and belief systems.  Working together to learn how to work through these feelings can lead to more enjoyable life experiences and help you become more compassionate toward yourself.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Addresses the impact of early life conflicts on your current life by helping you become more aware of their influences. Uncovering these recurring patterns can help you avoid repeating them in your present life.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-

Addresses the effect your automatic thought patterns and actions have on your moods and behaviors. CBT often involves identifying and challenging your particular thought patterns. On the behavioral side; it involves designing situations in and out of session which will challenge your automatic assumptions by having you face those situations that you fear.

Mindfulness –

An important technique that can help in regards to anxiety, depression, trauma, and eating disorders. To help “tune in” to your body so that you are able to address what you are feeling emotionally and physically. Goals include tolerating uncomfortable feelings and changeling negative thoughts and beliefs.
